5 Things To Expect on WWE Monday Night Raw 7/6/15

Welcome to this week's WWE Raw preview brought to you by Condo On The Moon! This piece will be special to me for the fact that tonight's Raw is from my hometown of Chicago, Illinois and I will be there. Tonight's Raw is going to be interesting especially for the fact this weeks Raw takes places from the loudest fanbase in the WWE Universe. We're 13 days away from the Battleground show and tonight we'll get a pretty good picture as to what will REALLY happen at the special on July 19th! Lot's to get to and will also be giving my thoughts about the Beast in the East show in one of the points. Let's get to it!

1.) Beast in The East Thoughts 

I would like to add my thoughts on the Beast in the East special that just happen this past Saturday since I was one of the crazy people who were up and covered the event when it was LIVE! I really digged the setup the event, the sumo hall is a cool venue for a wrestling show, I really enjoyed the commentary from Michael Cole and Byron Saxton and it really shows that JBL needs to get off that announce table for GOOD and then finally I just like how this event was unique to itself! The first match with Chris Jericho and Neville was really fun and no matter what you think of modern day Jericho the matter of the fact is that he's a legend and he continues to prove why at anytime he can be the best in the world. I thought the triple threat Divas Championship Match was solid, but not surprise Nikki won. Brock Lesnar's appearance on the show was everything it was supposed to be. You see him come into the building and the fans react like he's the modern day Godzilla. The Balor/Owens was amazing and we send our regards to our friend James, but it was going to happen sometime soon and congrats to Finn Balor becoming the brand new NXT Champion. While everybody went on a tirade on the main event (how original) I thought it was solid main event. It was like a mid 80's tag team match. Hulk Hogan & The Red Rooster vs. British Bulldog & One Man Gang. Overall it was worth staying up to 7am and I thought this was one of the coolest events of the year.

2.) John Cena vs. Kevin Owens Program

There's no doubt that this Kevin Owens/John Cena feud has been one of the best feuds in 2015. Week after week Cena and Owens try to one up each other and it's great and at Battleground Cena will defend his United States Championship against Kevin Owens. Last week on Raw we got it correct and Cesaro accepted the John Cena US Open Challenge and really brought the fight to the 15 time World Champion and just as Cesaro was going to win Kevin Owens who was on commentary during the match storm into the ring caused the DQ and gave both John Cena and Cesaro Popup Powerbombs. There's two weeks left and there's nothing really complicated that you need to do here to continue furthering this feud. Since Raw is in Chicago I'm pretty sure that Cena will compliment the crowd as he always does. It's going to be interesting to see what type of reaction Kevin Owens gets at the Rosemont Horizon. I've seen Kevin performed in this city for years and it's going to be a great moment to see him at the best in my opinion the best WWE arena in the US! What's next for Cesaro? Will Cesaro forget that Owens screwed him out of the US Championship? Or will Cesaro try to insert himself in this US Title program? Well since Owens lost the NXT Championship at Beast in the East we can't have a US Open Challenge, but I think we'll see Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro tonight. If Cena's having a US Open Challenge I think it would be nice to see him go against Dolph Ziggler

3.) Dusty Rhodes Special on WWE Network 

If you love tonight's Raw or you hate it like every single week, one thing we'll agree on is the fact that the Dusty Rhodes Special on the WWE Network tonight will be awesome. Really looking forward to see what they have in store for us in this special tonight. We already know that WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair will come back to Chicago which is pretty cool. I wonder if there's going to be other surprises on the show because it said that WWE Superstars and Legends will pay tribute to Dusty. It's going to emotional and I'm just excited for this event. Will Cody Rhodes come back on tonight's Raw? Who knows, but if he does that would be really cool.

4.) WWE 2K16 Cover Reveal

Click the video above and you'll see a very special WWE Legend who will be the cover boy for this year's WWE 2K16 Video Game!

All I can say is that this cover photo and the trailer is badass and very fitting for a upcoming WWE video game who said they're having the largest roster ever and it's going to be one of the greatest WWE video games ever. Let's see what happens! I doubt the guy who's on the cover would be on the show, but hey you want a cool moment. The Icon comes back in the building where he grabbed the brass ring.

5.) The Beast Invades the Windy City 

THE BEAST IS BACK!!!! All hell is going to break loose! I know that The Authority Triple H & Stephanie McMahon will be back on Raw tonight, but also Paul Heyman will be back on Raw with a angry beast in Brock Lesnar. Fair warning to Seth Rollins. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!! Prepare for the crowd to go nuts when Beast gets unleashed! There's no way that Rollins get the best of Lesnar it's just not happening again.

5 Things To Expect on WWE Monday Night Raw 6/1/15

Hello ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to this week's Raw preview article. We're coming off the heels of a entertaining Elimination Chamber special on the WWE Network. I'll give you my thoughts on the Chamber show in a seperate section. This week's Raw comes from the home of the 2007 Royal Rumble and 2011 Vengeance: San Antonio, Texas. We begin the road to the annual Money in the Bank PPV, always fun entertaining times when it comes to Money in the Bank season. We got alot to cover on here, so here's the five things you can expect on the Chamber Fallout edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.

WWE Elimination Chamber Thoughts: 

I want to prefence my comments by first saying that the Corpus Chirsti crowd was absolutely terrible last night and when WWE are considering to add on specials for the Network they need to consider the places and venues you decide to bring these special events to. I enjoyed the Tag Team Chamber match and I thought it was a coming out party for The Ascension and PTP. New Day are great heels and they continue to outhink everybody and is their any business relationship between The New Day and The Authority. I thought the Divas Championship Match was solid, but once again a terrible crowd could give two fig newtons about that match. I thought they made the right decision to have Nikki Bella retain the Divas Championship. I loved the Kevin Owens and John Cena match! Couldn't be happier for Kevin and he got the spotlight he deserved and to say that WWE doesn't give guys from the indy's or ROH a chance is absolute blasphemy. I enjoyed the match between Neville/Bo Dallas even thought they had to follow that Owens/Cena match. I thought the IC Chamber Match was kind of disappointing, but the crowd didn't do them no favors. Would have liked that particular Chamber to have more meaningful spots instead going into sequences just to fill time. I'm happy that Ryback won the IC Championship. Despite common "reputation" that comes with "The Big Guy" I think Ryback is a very underrated performer. Finally the World Heavyweight Championship was what it was. I enjoyed the match don't get wrong it was awesome, but you needed to entice the viewers to get the Network for the month of June and this Reigns and Ambrose thing is too buddy buddy. I thought the Chamber wasn't a A+ show, but it was a good show and I enjoyed it despite another round of terrible commentary and a inept crowd.

2.) WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match + Raw Matches 

Last night at the Elimination Chamber we found out the following particpants that will be in this year's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. We have Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Neville and Kofi Kingston. If they were going to add more superstars to this match they would've done it tonight. For Raw tonight I think we'll see these three matches. Randy Orton vs. Neville, Dolph Ziggler vs Kofi Kingston and Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus.


3.) WWE World Title Picture

Last night at the Chamber, Ambrose defeated Rollins by DQ! Ambrose alongside Roman Reigns stole the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Don't be surprised to see not only Rollins, but the entire Authority to start off Raw and will address Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. I can see The Authority try to get Roman Reigns out of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Is the beef between Kane and Seth Rollins over with? Lot's of questions, but do you have another Dean Ambrose/Seth Rollins match just for another non-finish. The rivalry of non-finishes continues. For a curveball I think Reigns is turning tonight. You have Kane, Rollins and JJ vs. Dean Ambrose in a No DQ Match. Reigns will come out to help Ambrose and bamb spear Ambrose to close off Raw tonight.

4.) Kevin Owens vs. John Cena II 

We know that the rematch is set for the Money in the Bank PPV! Owens is up 1-0! For tonight and for the upcoming Raw's before MITB. I say let Owens go out there and run his mouth towards Cena. I say you can still do the US Open Challenge. I think John Cena will take on The Miz in the US Open Challenge tonight. You can still have Owens lay out Cena if you want, or to bring in doubt you can see Cena get the best of Owens in these brawls. I'm very interested in seeing what they do with this program and what will be John Cena's reaction to losing to Kevin Owens cleanly. Kevin Owens is best for business.

5.) Mid-Card Title Programs heading into Money in the Bank 

I think we'll see a fatal four way match for the WWE Tag Team Championship at Money in the Bank with: The New Day vs. Prime Time Players vs. Lucha Dragons vs. Tyson Kidd & Cesaro. I think we'll see Ryback vs. Bad News Barrett, we may see another triple threat match for the Divas Championship. Could we have a mid-card ladder match at Money in the Bank for a mid-card title? Interesting time to be a fan of the WWE!

5 Things To Expect on WWE Monday Night Raw 5/11/15

Welcome to this week's edition of the Monday Night Raw preview brought to you by Condo On The Moon. Last week's Raw from Montreal was alot of fun. Well, not if you ask Vince Russo because according to him unless the show is just like the Attitude Era it's not worthy to him. I hope Russo knows that the WWE has been using his format for RAW for the past 18 YEARS!!!!! We're 6 days away from the third annual WWE Payback PPV. Dean Ambrose is now part of the main event at Payback. The mid-card continues to shine and improve each week. Sami Zayn accepted John Cena's US Open Challenge and killed it. Tonight's Raw is from the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. I remember last time a RAW was in Cincinnati the Raw set went on fire hopefully that's not the case, but the show should be since we're on the go-home to Payback. Here's five things you can expect on this week's WWE Monday Night Raw.

1.) Rusev vs. John Cena "I Quit" Match 

Coming up on Sunday will be the final chapter of the Rusev/John Cena rivalry. This feud has been of the better and interesting John Cena feuds that went onto multiple ppv's. I like the subtle approach to this match. There's nothing major you need to add onto this match. We know what's coming it's going to be a very phsyical drawn out match and we'll see whether Rusev or Cena will walk out of Baltimore with the United States Championship. The split between Rusev and Lana is interesting and I like how all these "expert" wrestling podcast hosts don't know where the tension between Rusev and Lana is coming from. If you were paying attention to the shows before Mania Lana show compassion for Rusev when she accepeted Cena challenge for Rusev for WrestleMania. Rusev was mad and sent her home for a couple weeks. When she came back she became a sympathetic character and she was scared of Rusev lashing out at her. Whether or not the rumors of Lana turning face or not are true I'm very interested in seeing the finish of this Payback match. The John Cena US Open Challenge with Sami Zayn was awesome. We called Bret Hart coming out on last week's Raw preview. For tonight here's a list of potential opponents for John Cena: Luke Harper, Heath Slater or Dolph Ziggler. I think it will be important for Cena to get to the advantage of Rusev this time. If Rusev lays out Cena on Raw you'll know that Cena will retain at WWE Payback.

2.) Fatal Four Way Shenanigans 

Last week on Raw we saw the announcement that Dean Ambrose will be part of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at WWE Payback. Ambrose and Rollins had a stellar match on last week's Raw. There's continue tension between Randy Orton and Roman Reigns. This Fatal Four Way Match at Payback can go in so many different directions and that's why I feel that this year's Fatal Four Way Match is more interesting then the one from last year's WWE Battleground. Here's the thing we know that all former Shield members are part of this match which is interesting for the fact that the Raw after Payback was when Shield disbanded when Rollins turn heel and join The Authority. Last week on SmackDown during the Payback Contract Signing, Rollins laid everybody out. For tonight's Raw I think we'll see Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs. Randy Orton. We'll probably see more issues between Rollins and Kane with The Authority coming back. Very interested in seeing what does Stephanie and Hunter have in mind for Raw this week, so don't be surprise if the entire Authority starts off this week's Raw. One way or another either Roman Reigns or Randy Orton will need to be standing tall as Raw goes off the air.

3.) Daniel Bryan + WWE Intercontinental Championship Picture 

I have a feeling that Daniel Bryan will be part of tonight's Monday Night Raw. It's been about a month since we've saw the Intercontinental Champion and here's the thing. I love the guy, but can we really buy that this guy will ever be part of a WrestleMania event again? You can't trust this guy and his body. According to some outlets Daniel Bryan will be making his return on RAW tonight and is expected to compete at Payback. Good news and one would suggest that Bryan would defend his IC Championship against "King" Bad News Barrett. Could you picture a Bryan/Neville feud down the road for the IC Championship? I'm very interested in seeing where this goes for Bryan. Will this be a one off? Will Bryan come back just to lose to Barrett and go back to the DL? We'll see what happens at Payback, but it will be great to see Bryan back on the show tonight.

5.) WWE Payback Predictions

Since obviously I will not be part of the podcast this week. I will give you my predictions for Payback.

I got Rollins retaining, but with Reigns turning heel. I got Cena winning the "I Quit" Match. I got Sheamus beating Dolph Ziggler, I got Bryan retaining against Bad News Barrett, I got Bray Wyatt beating Ryback, I got Nikki retaining the Divas Championship, I got The New Day retaining the Tag Team Championship, I can see the Prime Time Players winning the number one contendership match. I'm looking forward Payback. It will be interesting to see how the PPV goes since this is the first Payback that will not be taking place in Chicago. Baltimore is another great old-school wrestling town and I have no doubts that they'll be a tremendous crowd. Having this PPV there will give those people something to smile about even with the terrible things that are going on in Baltimore.

5 Things To Expect on WWE Monday Night Raw 4/6/15

Welcome to this week's WWE Monday Night Raw preview article brought to you by Condo On The Moon. Last week was the end of WrestleMania week which is depressing. I was at Raw last week and it was sure interesting show. Brock Lesnar got suspended and F5 Michael Cole, Sheamus came back and turn heel, The Lucha Dragons and Adrian Neville from NXT made their main roster debuts, and Seth Rollins survived one episode of Raw as WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Tonight Raw emanates from the University of Texas! We're on the road to the 2015 WWE Extreme Rules PPV. Here's five things to expect on this week's edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.

1.) WWE World Heavyweight Championship Title Picture 

Seth Rollins has made past one week as WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Coming out of last week's SmackDown it seems that "The Viper" Randy Orton will be the guy who will take on Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Extreme Rules. What would've happen if Brock is still the WWE World Heavyweight Champion? Brock Lesnar is suspended for the forseable future and Stephanie McMahon will address the future of Brock Lesnar to start off the show. It's seems like the internet will be happy about this, but Roman Reigns is lost in the shuffle. Will Reigns find a way back into the title picture? I think on the show tonight you'll see the conformation of Orton vs Rollins at Extreme Rules or you'll see Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns to determine the number one contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

2.) NXT Imports 

Both NXT mainstays The Lucha Dragons and Adrian Neville made their WWE main roster debuts last week. It was cool to see those moments in person. It's going to be important to see where both of these guys career go based on the reactions from crowds and cities that don't hold 95% of the IWC. I think both Neville and Kalisto will have a great run in the main roster, but I want to remind everybody that if Neville or Kalisto are not in a particular title pictures in their first two months on the main roster that doesn't mean the WWE is burying them. Some of my concern with these NXT guys is that they come up to the main roster and everybody thinks that they need to be in all the title pictures and in all the main events of all the ppv's the moment they hit the main roster. Too much too soon can hurt talents in the long run. It worked for The Wyatt Family and The Shield it worked for them because they were a faction and superstars came out of that faction I don't know if you have the same impact if you get that type of booking out of the bat as a single competitior. I think we see The Lucha Dragons vs. The Ascension. I think we see a rematch between Neville and Curtis Axel.

3.) WWE Divas Title Picture + AJ Lee Thoughts 

I wanted to be brief with the AJ Lee retirment topic since I haven't had a chance to talk about it, but I think it's unfortunate she's leaving so early. Just when you think you found a diva that would've been a lifer then they retire. The shelf life of these diva's are not long. AJ Lee has had a great career despite portions of her career towards the end where she basically ripped CM Punk off. AJ is a great person and I wish her nothing but the best, but I won't be surprised if this retirement doesn't last long. Now here's the thing which makes this divas division interesting coming out of AJ Lee's retirement. Now with Extreme Rules around the corner who will take on Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship? I can see something where you have Naomi and Paige vs. The Bella Twins tonight. Then the next week you can possibly do Paige vs Naomi for the number one contendership. I think Naomi is a quality challenger for that Divas Championship she has had a lot of roadblocks put afront of her, but she deserves this opportunity.

4.) John Cena vs. Rusev "I Quit" Match?

It's official that John Cena will defend his United States Championship against Rusev at Extreme Rules. Being that this show is in my hometown i'm paying close attention to this feud. This storyline will probably be the biggest storyline heading towards the ppv besides the World Title match. We know that the match is official, but what's the gimmick? What's the stipulation? There's many possibilities you can have in this third bout. I'm throwing out I Quit stipulation because it works well with the Russia vs USA storyline and it's a John Cena esque Extreme Rules storyline. Tonight you'll see Rusev lay out John Cena and announce that the match between him and John Cena will be a I Quit match.

5.) IC Title Picture for Extreme Rules

Sheamus is back and I LOVE THIS HEEL TURN! The new music kicks ass his actions in the ring kicks ass. I love what's being doing so far. People will complain just to complain. They said they wanted a repackage for Sheamus and then when he comes back all you have to say is "You Look Stupid"! Really creative wrestling fans. I think on the show tonight you see Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler or the tag team match that was supposed to happen on SmackDown last week and that was Sheamus & Bad News Barrett vs Dolph Ziggler & Daniel Bryan. You can go in many different directions when it comes to Extreme Rules. You can see maybe a Intercontinental Championship rematch between Bad News Barrett and Daniel Bryan on one of these Raw's or you can do another multiple person match at Extreme Rules. Daniel Bryan is a sympathetic character don't be mad or surprised he get's beat down alot.

5 Things To Expect on WWE Monday Night Raw 1/12/15

So last week's Raw was the worst of all-time, I get a chuckle out of that because I hear that every single week on social media and it's from the same people that don't know anything about storytelling. Last week's announcement of the firing of Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan and Ryback did catch me off guard, but it was the right decision to make. Raw's in the home of WrestleMania 30, New Orleans, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman are advertised to be on the show. Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan will be on the show tonight after announcing not only his return to the WWE, but also announcing that he will be in the Royal Rumble Match. How will John Cena respond to the Authority firing his entire team? Will Nikki Bella have two total divas going after her divas championship? All this and more as I, Josh Lopez will give you the best preview for tonight's Monday Night Raw!!!!!!!! Mind you I've been very accurate with my previews over the last couple of weeks and what I put into this article is NOT my personal taste or what I would like to see on the show. What you see on this article is a look at what the WWE Creative Team will dish out before Raw starts. Here's five things to look forward to with tonight's Monday Night Raw.

1.) The Authority, Brock Lesnar and John Cena 

Here's what I have to throw out there for this storyline to head into the right direction heading into the Royal Rumble. I think we'll have a in-ring promo to start off the show with The Authority explaining their actions from last week Raw. I think we'll see Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman come out and question the Authority decision to add Seth Rollins to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match. I think John Cena will come out and he will want to get his hands on Seth Rollins (again), but The Authority will try to give John Cena the night off because they appreciate him so much. Who knows there would be a backstage segment where Stephanie or Triple H is on the phone and they're explaining their actions and they get off the phone and say they were talking to Vince or the Board of Directors. I think they need to give me a reason to care about Seth Rollins being in this Triple Threat Match. I don't think he needs to be in this match and I think the WWE should've had Randy Orton makes his return after TLC, but Orton is injured from what I hear from the so reliable dirtsheets, but yea. I think the feud between Brock Lesnar & John Cena should end in a one-on-one war, not a triple threat match.

2.) Daniel Bryan + The Yes Movement!

I'm glad that Daniel Bryan is back and I'm looking forward to seeing him on Raw tonight. It was announced that on SmackDown on Thursday, Bryan will compete in first match since after Extreme Rules 2014. We'll probably hear from Bryan in a in-ring promo and I know what I'm going to say is going to upset people, but it's the right thing to do storyline wise and just being a realistic sports-entertainment fan. The Authority will come out it could be either Triple H, Stephanie and or Kane that comes out and interrupts Daniel Bryan and will question him about his health and does he think he can really win the Royal Rumble Match. I think what will come out of tonight's Daniel Bryan segment is that Bryan will take on Kane on SmackDown this Thursday. Kane should be the first and only person that Daniel Bryan competes against.

3.) Ramifications for Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose 

Dean Ambrose had a pretty interesting week on Raw last week he fights Bray Wyatt in a brutal Ambulance Match and then he reunites with his former Shield brother Roman Reigns to take on The Authority. Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins & Big Show in a very good tag team match on SmackDown. Will Dean Ambrose get punish for defying The Authority? I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a rematch from SmackDown. Maybe you can see The Big Show & Seth Rollins take on Roman Reigns in a handicap match. Or we can just see another Roman Reigns vs. Big Show match possibly turn that into a No DQ match. I'm surprised that Roman hasn't spoke about the Royal Rumble match like Batista did last year. The story should be The Authority doing everything in their power to make sure that Roman Reigns doesn't win the Royal Rumble Match.

4.) WWE Commentary Change + WWE Mid-Card's Thoughts

I always go out of my way to gives my thoughts out there for those fans that do enjoy the mid-carders in the WWE. I think it's important for any wrestling analyst, broadcaster or even fan to pay attention to what's going on the mid-card because there's alot of good talent on the WWE Roster. Continue to build that heat for The Ascension keep putting them in squatch matches why not it continues to make people talk about The Ascension and that's what they want. I think we'll Rusev continue to take digs at Ryback because Ryback is not in the WWE anymore, so yea he can call him a coward again. I think we'll see Bad News Barrett rebound from his lost on SmackDown to Sin Cara. BNB will lay out Sin Cara in the rematch tonight. It's looks like we're getting a tag team turmoil for the WWE Tag Team Championship sometime soon with The Usos, The New Day, Gold & Stardust, The Miz & Damien Mizdow, The Ascension and Cesaro & Tyson Kidd. I don't think that match will happen tonight, but that's something that can work for the Royal Rumble or at the WWE Fast Lane PPV. WWE made an announcement that Jerry Lawler will no longer will be on the Raw announce team which is an end of a era, but also there's a underlying problem with the Raw announce team it's not Michael Cole it's JBL. Why should I have to continue to listen to a bully who had a overrated career, who continues to bury young talents and is the Bill O'Reilly of professional wrestling broadcasting.

5.) WWE Divas Championship Feud

Seems like tensions continue to rise with the return of Total Divas. Natalya & Nikki Bella have been feuding over the last couple of week's, but just as the WWE Championship match turn into a triple threat match, the WWE Divas Championship can turn into a triple threat match with Natalya, Paige and Nikki Bella. Paige & Nikki Bella had a phenomenal match on WWE Main Event last week. Raw is three hours there's no reason why Paige & Nikki Bella can't have the same amount of time in the ring on Raw tonight like they did on WWE Main Event. Nikki Bella continues to improve as Divas Champion and I'm actually looking forward to see what happens with the Divas Division heading into WrestleMania 31.

There's some rumors going around about TMZ revealing the first inductee of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2015. The rumors is that Randy "Macho Man" Savage will be the headling inductee in this year's class. The announcement should be made tonight on Raw. If that does happen all of us here at Condo on the Moon would like to congratulate the Poffo family on this crowning achievement. R.I.P Macho Man OOOOOOOO YEA!!!!!!!! DIG IT! Enjoy Raw tonight.

5 Things To Expect on WWE Monday Night Raw

Happy New Year's everybody. New leash, New year, New WWE? Well maybe not new WWE, but tonight is the very first Monday Night Raw of 2015 in Corpus Chirsit, Texas. WWE finished 2014 on a high note with a stellar edition of Monday Night Raw. Tonight there's no special guest general manager because The Authority is back "BABY!" sorry Adam Cole. There's not another WWE LIVE Event going on tonight, so everybody is back it's a new year and we'll see how the build towards the Royal Rumble continues. Here's five things to expect on January 5th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.

1.) The Authority Returns

I know alot of people are upset with the fact that The Authority is back, but I couldn't be happier. This show with the exception of Seth Rollins has been severley missing powerful and impactful heels. I love The Authority they're great, and I don't mind they're 20 minute in-ring promos because when you see Triple H & Stephanie McMahon on WWE Television it's the purest demonstration of how to be an effective heel. Was it too soon for them to return? It's subjective, but we already knew that The Authority was coming back. I think we'll get The Authority special meaning that tonight's main event will be John Cena & Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins & Big Show. Also we'll probably see Kane vs. Ryback. The Authority's back and it's best for business. Believe That!

2.) The Ascension + WWE's Tag Team Division

It's not enough, but it's better than nothing. I love how people complain about WWE not bringing up new tag teams and they don't try to build stars and when they actually bring up new tag teams or new stars up to the main roster you don't give them a chance. The Ascension just debuted last week on Raw and I couldn't be happier for both Konnor & Vitkor making the most out of this opportunity because it's something different we don't really know what their gimmicks is and please can we give this gimmick sometime to build before throwing into the firepit. I get it they look like the Road Warriors, but I didn't know that the Road Warriors were into illuminati. The Usos became the brand new WWE Tag Team Champions last week in a great back and forth match with The Miz & Damien Mizdow. I expect to see The Usos defend the WWE Tag Team Championship against Miz & Mizdow in a title rematch and after the match The Ascension will lay out The Usos to send an impactful message. If The Ascension doesn't come out during that match I wouldn't be opposed to seeing The Ascension do the same thing they did on SmackDown last week where they put waste to local enhancement talent.

3.) WWE's Mid-Card Feud's

For what it's worth I think the WWE has been doing a great job with the fact that they're using actual storylines are for all the mid-card titles. We know that the WWE is teasing a match between WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella and Natalya. Yea it's kind of a plug for E! Total Divas, but they've been slowly building an actual feud between Natalya and Nikki with the fact that Tyson Kidd & Nikki Bella continue to flirt with each other. The Ryback & Rusev feud intrigues me, I loved the Ryback promo from Raw last week they haven't done that type promo for any mid-carders in year's. Rusev continues to improve in the ring and as a heel. I proposed that Ryback and Kane match and possibly Rusev will come out to interfere in that match who knows maybe Kane wins that match since The Authority is back, but I really think the feud between Ryback & Rusev is the best thing for both guys at this prior moment. My boy Bad News Barrett came back from injury last week and it seemed like he was going to be a babyface now, but I think a good way to put Barrett back into that heel role is if you do this. I would set up a match between Tyson Kidd & Cesaro vs. Dolph Ziggler & Bad News Barrett. It would be a great match for the WWE and all of the fans and to spice things up you have Dolph trying to give Bad News the hot tag and he gives him the Bad News Bull Hammer there you go that's your Intercontinental Championship feud. Bad News goes after the title he never lost.

4.) Who will enter the Royal Rumble Match?

Even though I hate when current Money in the Bank Contract holders enter Royal Rumble Match, I do think to start off the show as a gift to Seth Rollins for bringing back The Authority. The Authority will announce that Seth Rollins will be in the Royal Rumble match. I think we'll finally see Royal Rumble Qualifying Matches or maybe a Beat the Clock Challenges for certain enteries for the Rumble Match. I'm just throwing it out there because I think that would be a great idea because it allows the three hours to be must see and it's the first Raw of the year you would think that the WWE would want to start the year off with a bang. Possible entrants of the Rumble Match that come out of my head are Luke Harper, Jack Swagger, Big Show, Erick Rowan, Dolph Ziggler etc. I would like to see how they'll follow up the return of Daniel Bryan he's not currently advertised for tonight's show, so will it be a pre-recorded interview or just a recap highlight package of his announcement from last week? We'll see what happens, but it's important for the WWE to make sure they tell the fans that there's numerous amount talents that can be favorites to win the Rumble instead of just Roman Reigns & Daniel Bryan

5.) Ambulance Match

The feud between Dean Ambrose & Bray Wyatt comes to an end tonight and I really do believe that. I've enjoyed the feud between Ambrose & Wyatt it kind of reminds me of the feud between Ryback & CM Punk. Is Dean Ambrose buried if he loses another big stipulation match? Is Bray Wyatt buried because of all the hype of his return was for all him to go into a Ambulance? Honestly who cares, really because both of these guys have great futures ahead of them remember folks they've been on the main roster television for 2-3 years their careers are not over yet. I think this will be a great match whether it finishes off the show or not I do think that Bray Wyatt & Dean Ambrose are going to head into this match with a massive chip on their shoulder because there's alot of talk of Daniel Bryan & Roman Reigns becoming the main focus of WrestleMania 31 and I feel that Bray & Dean will look make a major statement as the Royal Rumble is fastly approaching.

IWC Podcast Back Talking Mania, ROH, And Divas Oh My

Week two what you gonna do brother! Well I will tell you we talk about Daniel Bryan and his road after Wrestlemania. TNA's return to PPV that was called Lockdown but by looks of the crowd maybe it should have been Lockout. While TNA struggles ROH seems to on the rise? Talk about the lack of knowledge about the Mania under card. Does a Battle Royal work in 2014 as a concept. In addition what former WWE Women's Champion is not a fan of the term Diva. We look at the state of Diva's Division in WWE.

CM Punk Did Not Come To Save The Day

Raw came and left Chicago without CM Punk appearing but his influence on both the crowd and the WWE booking was all over the show. Word on street was WWE made an offer to CM Punk to return that he rejected. Some people are trying to make him look like the bad guy here. How on earth can they say that without knowing what exactly this offer was? Hell do we even know why exactly Punk left in the first place? We have all speculated and have our opinions but only CM Punk knows why he isn’t part of the WWE at the moment. I would venture to say even WWE might not know exactly what his concerns are fully if they couldn’t make this work for a big return in Chicago.

Who knows if CM Punk was watching the show but if he was he saw an amazing battle outside of the contests in the ring itself between the WWE and the fans of Chicago. The night started out with C.M Punk’s theme and out came not Punk but his former manager and real life friend Paul Heyman.

Heyman being the genius that he is some how walked into the minefield and didn’t step on any. He started cutting a promo talking about CM Punk and why he wasn’t there and wasn’t going to be tonight. Heyman being the perfect guy to deliver that message cause as he has pointed out he would lie to his own Grandmother if it benefited him. So even though as it turned out he told the truth fans were more than willing to assume he lied.

He talked about Punk losing to the Undertaker last year and he blamed him for Punk not being around anymore and than he blamed the fans as well for him not being around. He went on to say that he was going to make things right by having his client Brock Lesnar defeat the Undertaker. It is a little out there considering that Punk/Lesnar feuded at Summerslam and Heyman had taken a royal butt whipping from Punk. Still it was brilliant and the typical great work from Paul. Brock was handed the mic and did not have the same success.

We had the tag titles switch hands as the Uso’s defeated the New Age Outlaws. You had the Wyatt’s and Shield fight again and have Seth Rollins walk away from The Shield causing them to lose and increasing the build to that break up. Tease of Csearo Face turn as Jack Swagger interfered causing Csearo to lose to Big E again.

They packed as much crowd pleasing stuff into the first hour and fifteen minutes of this show it was insane. By CM Punk not being there he forced the WWE to do a smart and well though out booking plan. This was one of the things Punk has been on the record as it not being good and one of the reasons people think he has left.

The crowd was getting there CM Punk chants in mind you but WWE did a masterful job of keeping them somewhat under control. Even to the point the hi-jacking Raw that had made its way onto Social Media also made it into Daniel Bryan’s Promo. Bryan and his Yes Movement were taking over the show until he got an answer from HHH on his challenge for Wrestlemania.

The promo and exchanges with both Stephanie McMahon and HHH was honestly some of the best mic work Bryan has done in his WWE career. Stephanie was almost drowned out by the boos anytime she spoke. Hunter stuck to his guns and refused Bryan’s challenge for a match at Wrestlemania against him.    Kane would get called to the ring and Bryan would dive out and attack him leaving him laying.

Everything was well thought out all night long. Cena came out to cut a promo and refused to reference Punk by name. The fans who in this town truly hate Cena as the greatest rival to Punk let him have it. The Wyatt’s would cut a promo and it was done in a soft tone. At first annoying cause crowd was still hot at Cena and chanting CM Punk. They like Bray though and wanted to here what he had to say and so the quieted down.

Batista and Randy Orton were kept from cutting promos in front of the live crowd another wise move by WWE. There were some bumps in the road like a Christian vs. Sheamus match that not many seemed to care about. A Divas tag but with no A.J Lee involved as to keep the Punk noise down.

The Celebrity host came out with Ziggler who is popular with an audience like this. He helps Ziggler get the win distracting Alberto Del Rio.

The main event was Batista against Daniel Bryan. Randy Orton was at ringside the match would end via a DQ with a beat down with Kane HHH and Orton and Batista would all take their turned beating down Bryan. HHH would bend down to talk to a fallen Bryan and get a kick to the head for his troubles. Fans kept hoping for a heroic CM Punk to come save his Indy buddy Daniel Bryan but it never happened.

Just as we have seen far too many times, Bryan was laid out and the show ended.

Credit to all the performers that had a rough experience tonight dealing with a crowd that only wanted to see one guy and it wasn’t them. Well maybe a few they wanted to see but none more than CM Punk.

CM Punk indirectly minus a few things here and there including the finish that were not good by and large had far more thing that was good. Punk’s lack of appearance forced the WWE to careful construct a card that would allow them to make it through the night.

Punk not being on this show almost guarantees he will not be going to Wrestlemania. The longer he is away the more likely it is we may never see Punk again. I think Punk more than any other wrestler is capable of staying away.

Ironically enough Punk by leaving may have at least caused the change he was always searching for if only for one night. As much as people and WWE will try to turn this into CM Punk being selfish and not caring about the fans it is a load of crap. If Punk was that guy he would be hosting Wrestlemania as a past his prime joke. If he was that guy he would have come back and taken his Mania payoff and left in July when his contract was up. Punk is a guy with principles and a guy that has been smart enough to save his money along the way.

Punk represents a lot of the hope wrestling fans have for change and that hope has died a little with him gone. This is kind of sad at the end of the day. The future for the WWE should be bright and CM Punk has had a big influence on a lot of the young talent in this company.

The reality is setting in of a Wrestlemania that really on paper looks like it will be underwhelming.
