Condo on the Moon Podcast #46: The Rocky Start To Roman Empire

It was an interesting week in the WWE to say the least. We had a rumble that had fans ready to revolt. Raw and a Smackdown taping losing to Mother Nature. WWE announces they have reached a million subscribers after a much publicized mass cancellation of the same network in reaction to the Royal Rumble. Along with a live Smackdown and Raw with no matches live. Roman Reigns week was just as roller coaster like as fans hated him Sunday, some loved him on Monday and by Thursday he was transformed into the next John Cena with a very split reaction to him on a live Smackdown. Almost lost in all of this was a little used WWE talent asking for his release from the company and leaving to much less fanfare than C.M Punk.

All this and talk of NXT where the WWE still shows they can entertain us and some ROH and PWG talk as well. A jam packed 90 minutes.

Kyle O'Reilly of ReDRagon enters Condo On Moon Podcast #37

Pictured on the left above is our guest this week one half of the ROH and IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champions Canada's own Kyle O'Reilly. We talk on a variety of topics from the road for Red Dragon to Final Battle, Success in Japan, Ronda Rousey showing up at PWG Young Bucks and everything in between. Along witl that Chris Walder in back from the IR we talk WWE and Vince going mental on Liverpool. James gets bent out of shape over the PWI top 50 women's list. This and a whole lot more.

4 Horsewomen In Attendance At Latest PWG Event

So the 4 horsewomen showed up for the latest PWG Show that was untitled but has now been dubbed the Good Bad and Roddy. Had they know maybe it would have been Rowdy as Ronda Rousey ended up being in the house.

Also seen in the crowd was Brad Maddox who apparently has been at several PWG shows of late. He recently appeared out of no where on the WWE app. As for the results from this show here they are:

The tradition of you never know who might show up at PWG event continues. Kevin Steen mentioned William Regal seeing him on PWG show as a big reason why he finds himself today in WWE developmental. Many famous people have made their way to check out perhaps the hottest independent show in the world over the years My big question is did Adam Cole get to meet Ronda finally...Will make sure to ask him next time he is on with us.

The ROH Champ Adam Cole Checks In To Condo on Moon Podcast

We have been promoting it since last week and the time is here as Adam Cole the Ring Of Honor World Champion is here on our podcast. Adam will be in action this weekend for ROH and from their moves on to "Best In The World" to defend his World Title against Michael Elgin on June 22nd live on PPV. It is the first time Ring of Honor will be on live PPV and we talk with Adam about the pressure for him leading into this big event in the history of the company. Thoughts on the man he is facing in one Michael Elgin. His recent loss of his PWG Title and all the stuff he has done in that promotion and a lot more. Including as people heard last week me breaking the news to him about the relationship status of Ronda Rousey. It is a great interview and on top of that we talk all of the news in the week in WWE. The future for their world title and Daniel Bryan and the future for The Shield. Look back on how Batista's run went in WWE and a lot more. It is we think our biggest show ever so enough hype just go have a listen and see if you agree?

So Long Kevin Steen's Weekend Escapades...Hello Kevin Wyatt?

During our podcast I do believe we stumbled upon perhaps the perfect way for Kevin Steen to enter WWE. At some point would he make a great fourth member of the Wyatt family? There is some irony in the idea as Steen likely never gets a look from WWE if not for the success of Bray Wyatt. Does KILL WYATT KILL make sense? It kind of does! Kevin Wyatt doesn’t sound horrible does it? Even, Kevin Harper brother of Luke Harper might be nice fit.

Steen seems to be someone that could fit into that gimmick somewhat easily. maybe a Panda Mask? It all kind of makes sense the more I think about it. Kevin Steen and his love of animals could come in handy. Sure this all pretty damn early to speculate on as Steen will be heading to developmental not the main roster.

Chris Hero ended up spending years in developmental and never getting to the main roster. Sami Zyan once upon a time El Generico a tag partner and than rival of Steen in his run in ROH. The two are legitimate friends that came up together coming out of Quebec. He is currently in NXT and has been there for close to a year I think.

In any case another sign that Steen is wrapping up things on the independent scene he did a final episode of his web show “Kevin Steen’s Weekend Escapades.” Steen did not mention the WWE as the reason for ending the show. He stated having less time and the birth of his new daughter as the reason.

Steen was in action for Pro Wrestling Gorilla and it could be his last appearance there if rumours are true. He is part of Mount Rushmore in PWG with the Young Bucks and Adam Cole. Steen was in action with the Bucks last night and got the win. He addressed that crowd and said he wanted to address the rumours. He said they are true he will be going to the I-Hop after the show and none of the fans were invited.

Steen is an emotional guy and it seems he wants to avoid all these different send offs. I think the one and only Kevin Steen going away party will take place at ROH Best in the World on June 22nd, 2014. That seems a fitting place for a guy that has given his blood sweat and tears to build ROH back up to the point they are at and taking it to a historic place it has never been.

I just want to thank Kevin for being the guy that not only opened my eyes to wrestling outside of the WWE but investing my time and money to go out and support it. Kevin Steen is a tremendous representative of independent wrestling.



Weekend Escapades made me both appreciate the grind that independent wrestlers go through and see what fun it is to be at an independent show. Kevin Steen gave me that eye opening experience and not just a love of him but a love for all the guys he was sharing rings with across North America.

Thank You Kevin and good luck as member of the Wyatt’s or whatever they come up with for you in WWE. I know you’ll make it work and do a good job for yourself, your family and all of your fans!
