It is now confirmed that Kevin Steen's last date in Ring of Honor will be on July 19th in Dearborn, Michigan. His opponent in that match will be Steve Corino who has been out of wrestling for last while working as a commentator with Kevin Kelly. Steen will also face Silas Young in a no DQ match on July 18th and will face his good friend Tommasso Ciampa there will mark the last 3 matches in Kevin's Ring of Honor career. Kevin has been a fixture in the company for years and is one of only 20 men that can say he in fact was a Ring of Honor World Champion. He now by all indications will be heading to WWE Developmental to join his long time partner El Generico who is tearing it up on NXT as Sami Zayn. Kevin is one of there huge stars set to arrive in NXT very soon. It should be interesting come the fall in NXT
Times have varied on when exactly Kevin will be reporting to WWE Developmental there has been date like August 1st talked about and as late as September. I would say the August 1st is the more likely as Ring Honor was trying to figure out a way to get him on the "Field of Honor" event in NYC that they took over from TNA doing this year. That event takes place in the middle of August. In any case Kevin has earned a farewell tour and parade if he wanted it for all the hard work he has done for Ring Honor Wrestling and Independent wrestling in general.
